Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, March 17 (Reporter Wang Sibeì) According to a press conference held by the World Internet Conference Organization in Beijing on the 17th, the 2026 World Internet Conference Asia-Pacific Summit, themed "Digital and Intelligent Empowerment for Innovative Development — Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace", will conduct in-depth exchanges and dialogues on hot topics in digital and intelligent fields including "Innovation and Application of Intelligent Agents", "Digital Finance", "AI Security Governance" and "Smart Benefits for People's Livelihoods". It will continue to build a platform for the Asia-Pacific region to explore new opportunities and markets for digital cooperation.

The summit will feature an opening ceremony, a main forum alongside the World Internet Conference Outstanding Contributor Ceremony, and six sub-forums. It will also host an advanced training course on artificial intelligence and cybersecurity capacity building, as well as a themed salon titled "Collaborative Governance of AI Security: Building a Digital Security Barrier for the Intelligent Era". More than ten research achievements focusing on "artificial intelligence governance" will be released during the event.

Hosted by the World Internet Conference and undertaken by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Asia-Pacific Summit will take place in Hong Kong on April 13 and 14.
